Inactivity, poor lifestyle choices, and sustained poor posture at sedentary work stations can lead to imbalances in the upper back muscles and joints, causing pain and irritation. If left untreated, these imbalances can spread to other areas, such as the neck, shoulders, and upper arms, or even down to the lower back.

While x-rays, ultrasounds, and MRIs can be useful in identifying serious causes of upper back pain, they have limitations as they cannot detect muscle tension and pain. It is important to receive a thorough assessment from one of our registered health professional to understand the cause of your symptoms and work with them to develop a treatment and management plan.
